Churchyards can be a haven for wildlife, a place for contemplation and a space for worship and prayer.
Caring for God’s Acre provide a wide range of resources to assist with sensitive churchyard management.
Caring for God’s Acre are creating a list of burial grounds which are rich in wildlife and heritage, and have flower rich grassland. This list will be regularly updated and they would love to hear from you if you have any recommendations of sites that could be featured.
Churches Count on Nature is encouraging local people to record and explore the wildlife and plants in their local churchyard. Sign up here to express an interest and receive an activity pack.
