The Archbishop of York Youth Trust is launching an online 40-day Youth-Led action programme during Lent with different daily actions focused on serving others.

Any young person can sign up at www.abyyt.com/40days and each day during Lent (10 February to 26 March) there will be a challenge to encourage young people to ‘Be the change they want to see’.

Speaking at Archbishop Holgate’s School, Dan Finn, Youth Trust Director said: “I am delighted that all of the students at Archbishop Holgate’s will be taking part in our 40 days of Youth Led Action in Lent. This is a fantastic opportunity for all young people to join and to share with others what a difference their actions have made at home, at school, at a local youth club or in the wider community. We are encouraging all young people to sign up to complete this Lent challenge and to share using @ABYyouthtrust and #YTaction”.

Archbishop Sentamu is presently undertaking a 6-month Pilgrimage of Prayer, Witness and Blessing across the Diocese of York. Calling in at Garton On The Wolds Church of England Primary School, Driffield, the Archbishop said: “I have been so impressed with all of the schools that I have visited during my Pilgrimage – their responses have been amazing. I will be sharing with all at Garton Primary about my Youth Trust’s Lent Challenge. Each of us can make a difference, and we each can contribute to being the change we want to see”.
