- HLTA – Band F (scale 8-13), 20 hours per week, TTO plus PD days (39 weeks)
- After School Club Lead – Band C (scale 2-4), 5-10 hours per week, TTO (38 weeks)
Working hours 11.15am to 4.15/ 5.15pm daily

The Executive Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of HLTA working across our new school as it grows. The role would primarily involve covering PPA, leading interventions, support for pupils with SEND including those with SEMH needs and overseeing attendance. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated teaching assistant to join our small, highly skilled and friendly staff.
The role will include: –
- To cover and lead class teaching (under supervision) as and when appropriate, initially in EYFS
- Direct the work, where relevant, of other adults in supporting learning
- Demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to support the work of the teacher and increase achievement of all pupils including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Provide bespoke support and interventions for pupils with SEND
- Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning
- Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures
- Support class teachers with maintaining a nurturing and positive atmosphere among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure a safe learning environment
- Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment
- Leadership of after school club, including planning activities, care of pupils and providing a healthy snack
- Monitor and evaluate attendance and provide support for families to improve attendance where applicable.
