York & District CMS Association

2017 Autumn Event.

We hope that as many as possible will join us on Saturday, 7 October, 12 15pm for 12 30pm. We shall serve a light lunch – soup and a roll plus a dessert – and tea/coffee.

After lunch Mark Berry, from CMS Oxford, will tell us something of the place of the Society (which was formed in the 19th century) in the present day.

Admission is £4.00.

We expect the event to finish at around 3.00pm.

Please let Eileen Wishart – tel. 01904 633705 – know by the morning of Wednesday, 4 October how many people from your church/parish intend to come. We need to know numbers for catering purposes and seating arrangements. If no-one is available when you telephone please leave a message on the 1571 answering service.

Payment may be made in advance to Eileen at 21, Cayley Close, YORK YO30 5PT, or at the door on the day. Cheques should be made payable to ‘York and District CMS Association’ please.

Please try to encourage your friends to come.

IMPORTANT: sadly this will be our last event as a local CMS Association, as the York Association will no longer exist after the end of this year. However, the Church Mission Society (CMS), with its headquarters at Oxford, will still be very much alive and in need of continued prayer and support from individual members and churches.
