Homelessness, Housing Need and the Role of the Church - The Housing Justice Roadshow begins in Hull.

2016 is the 60th anniversary of the formation of the Catholic Housing Aid Society, which merged with the Churches National Housing Coalition in 2003 to become Housing Justice. We want to use this year to inspire and encourage churches, faith groups, community projects, homelessness charities, and the statutory and voluntary housing sector to unite together so that Housing need and Homelessness are more effectively addressed.

On Tuesday 7 June, Housing Justice will host a day which will look at the needs from an informed local and national perspective, and to see where churches have a role to play. It could include speaking up for people in poverty and housing need. It may be time to roll up our sleeves to work in partnership with others to be part of the solution.

Come and get more engaged with the issues, learn about what is already being done, share perspectives, network and discuss responses at the local, regional and national level. Come and hear about some great projects that churches and communities are already doing, and be inspired to make a difference.
