The Archbishop’s online giving charity Acts 435 is delighted to announce that it has matched all it requests for help made as part of its #anothergift campaign in time for Christmas.

acts435.org.uk features requests for help for specific items such as a replacement cooker or children’s clothes. Donors give the money and the local church or charity posting the request ensures the specific beneficiary receives the item. 100% of funds given go to the people in need.

This is the second year running that Acts 435 has encouraged individuals to give #anothergift at Christmas. From having an average of 100 requests throughout previous months, December has seen such an acceleration of donors that all requests have been met in time for Christmas. Many requests were on the site for just a matter of hours before being met with help given to people from Coleraine to Cambridge, Sunderland to Southampton.

Executive Director of the charity, Jenny Herrera, was full of gratitude: “It has been wonderful to see the donations flood in, from both current and new donors. It is amazing to see someone find out about the charity through a comment on social media or find us when searching online for ways to help people in need, and then give generously to support a few of our requests for help. Donors wanting to support people in need can still give a general donation to be allocated once there are new live requests posted. Acts 435 is always looking for new churches and charities to partner with. Its strength is in providing donors with a wide variety of requests for help from many different regions of the country”.

Church and charity advocates have expressed their thanks for the way the scheme has enabled them to go that extra mile to help the people they are already working with in their local communities. Acts 435 is a free resource for them and helps equip them in their work on the ground.
