An Aston Martin, an E-Type Jaguar, and a Daimler will be among the spectacular vehicles on show outside Holy Trinity Church's for its annual car show.
The eye-catching event in Trinity Square on Monday 9th June at 7pm, will bring together classic motors and super cars of all types and descriptions.
Organised by the church's men's group, it will also include informative talks from the vehicle owners, opportunities to get behind the wheel for photos and refreshments.
Members of Holy Trinity’s £4.5 development project team will also be on hand to share information and answer questions about the plans to transform this amazing place. There will be an opportunity to sign a Pledge of Support for the changes that will enable Holy Trinity to replace outdated and inadequate facilities; enhance its extraordinary heritage; become much more accessible to the community; and host a huge range of cultural and social events.
Event organiser the Revd Matt Woodcock said, “We’d encourage all Hull petrolheads and car enthusiasts to come along as we have some great cars coming. We had loads of good feedback about last year’s event so it’s not to be missed. If our development plans become a reality we’ll be able to do even more things like this.”
At the end of the evening, Vicar of Holy Trinity, Revd Canon Dr Neal Barnes, a former mechanical engineer, will give a talk about the need for people to “check under their bonnet” for a “spiritual MOT”.
He said, “Trinity Square is the ideal location to display these wonderful vehicles. Holy Trinity provides a stunning backdrop and makes for some great pictures. As well as enjoying the cars I hope to give people an insight into what it means to have spiritual fulfilment.”
