John is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the work of building New Worshipping Communities focused on 20s-40s, and leads a team of 14 full-time 20s – 40s Ministers, placed strategically across the Diocese of York. He was Rector of St Paul's, Holgate Rd, York from 2002 to the end of 2018 (with additional oversight of St Barnabas in his final year), and became Area Dean of York - in effect the convenor of all the Church of England clergy in the City of York.

Jennifer works with Multiply Team Leader the Revd John Lee to oversee the ‘Growth Fund’ making grants possible across the Diocese to enable lay people to lead the creation of New Worshipping Communities focused on those in their 20s-40s. Jennifer has wide experience of launching and supporting new missional initiatives. She was leader of Youth with a Mission in York for several years before moving to Sheffield, where she planted a church with her husband.

Alice provides programme support and administration across both Mustard Seed and Multiply. Her previous experience has been in university administration, working in student admissions and student recruitment with the universities of Leeds and York.

Alice usually works full-time from Monday to Wednesday, and on Thursday mornings.

Liz is one of the people leading Stepping Up, the first step for a parish to be involved with the Mustard Seed Programme. Liz is working in Scarborough and Hull, developing Stepping Up programmes, which will begin in 2021. Local people from several parishes coming together once a week to grow as disciples of Jesus. They will be exploring what mission looks like in their parish and supporting each other to Step Up into what God is calling them to do in local mission.

Paul works in Middlesbrough and Guisborough Deaneries to develop Stepping Up, where people from local parishes come together once a week to grow as disciples of Jesus. He previously worked at Holywood Parish as the youth worker and for the Message Trust’s Redcar Community Grocery as manager. Paul comes from Belfast and lives in Redcar with his wife, Sarah, and their young daughter.

Pete Watson is part-time (one day a week) IME Phase 2 Adviser for the York Archdeaconry and Rector of Brayton. He did his theological and ministerial training at Cranmer Hall, has been ordained 9 years, is an ex-German teacher, graduate in Arabic and Social Anthropology from St Andrews University, and PGCE at Westminster College, Oxford. Born in India, Pete spent formative years in Bangladesh and India, and is proud to be a Glaswegian!
