As part of Selby Abbey’s continuing 950th Year Celebrations The York Chapter House Youth Choir visits the Abbey this Sunday at 4.00pm to sing evensong. Under the direction of Charlie Gower-Smith the service will include music by Howells and Dyson and the anthem will be ‘I sat down under his shadow’ by Bairstow.
The York Chapter House Youth Choir was formed in 2016 to give young people aged 13 to 19 the opportunity to sing choral music to the highest standards.
Sunday evensong at Selby Abbey this Sunday is at 4.00pm, lasts about 45 minutes, all are welcome and admission is free.
