DIOCESAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE CARE OF CHURCHES
The DAC acts as an advisory body on matters affecting places of worship in the diocese. It advises the Chancellor, Archdeacons, PCCs and any applicants for faculties on matters relating to the use, care, design and history of church buildings (including their contents) and the churchyards and buildings within their curtilage.
The Committee also approves the appointments of all quinquennial inspectors for the care and conservation of church buildings.
