Online Youth Work

Most youth organisations have avoided the use of video conferencing – which means the guidance is lagging behind. In these difficult times it is important that we engage effectively with our young people, but that we do so in a way that protects them and us. Below you will find a parent permission form and guidelines for online engagement. If you require word versions please email childrenandyouth@yorkdiocese.org . We are learning fast and together, so please do come back with additional ideas and thoughts as we learn to do life in different ways.

Youth Curriculum Resources

Below are session ideas that can help your youth group engage more deeply with the Bible. Choose a single session, or plan a whole year, it's as flexible as your needs.
Take a look at the Introduction and User Guide to see what Bible passages and themes are covered and how to get the most out of the material.

Wonder: Church Mission Society's New Gap Year Experience

This new gap year programme from Church Mission Society draws on our 220 years of mission around the world to help you experience and reflect on cross cultural mission. There are opportunities to serve in the UK or in Asia (or if you have a full year, both!). In either location volunteers serve alongside CMS partners and learn about mission, about how God is at work in our world and about themselves. The programme is open to Christians aged 18–25 (you can apply if you’re 17 to go when you’re 18).
