The Revd Jenny Rankin, Assistant Curate at St John Newland, Hull, shares a story of how a Sunday morning intercession can surprise with the deep acknowledgment of God’s immense grace and transformative power.

A member of their congregation prayed…

“We thank you Father for all the blessings you have poured on us in these past few years. When things looked so difficult and there were so very few of us, you enabled us to understand that you were going to do a new work in us. We praise you Lord that in your great faithfulness you have done just that. We thank you Lord for growing numbers, growing commitment, growing discipleship, several Alpha courses, home groups being formed, new opportunities to work with students at the university, the recent relaunch of evening services and so much more Lord.

"Remind us please, Lord, that all this is Your doing, and the glory belongs to You.”

The community of St John Newland are so thankful and Revd Jenny added, “It was so encouraging to hear.”
