The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, Licensed the Revd Matt Woodcock on the 24th July as a 'Multiply' Minister, tasked with building a new worshipping community with a focus on those in their 20s, 30s and 40s in the parishes of St Barnabas, Leeman Road and St Paul’s, Holgate, in York.

Readings included Psalm 33 and Matthew 13:1-9, and the Holgate Community Gospel Choir sang ‘Bridge over Troubled Water’ and ‘I saw the light’.

Members of the congregation and mission team presented Matt with symbols of ministry – which included a volleyball, music CDs, a pack of question cards, a cross, a recipe book and bottle of wine – and a guitar which Matt is learning to play.

Please pray for Matt, his family and the parishes of St Barnabas and St Paul’s.
