Dr Carolyn Edwards, Children and Youth Adviser for the Diocese of York, visited St Chad's and St Oswald's parishes as well as the linked Genesis Project in Middlesbrough, for a day that Curate the Revd Vanessa Kirby described as "Wonderful."
Dr Carolyn Edwards, Children and Youth Adviser for the Diocese of York, visited St Chad's and St Oswald's parishes as well as the linked Genesis Project in Middlesbrough, for a day that Curate the Revd Vanessa Kirby described as "Wonderful."
The Genesis Project is based out of St Oswald’s and St Chad’s within a deprived and challenging area offering kids clubs, holiday clubs, and a free and popular weekly lunch club with food, toys, and clothes supplied and donated by both local and national businesses.
Part of Carolyn's visit was "To pray with us around our local schools, community spaces and churches."
In the evening Carolyn and dog Monty joined in Hope@StChad's, an informal worship service, and shared about Jesus meeting the little children. "She also taught us some prayer movements to help us when we talk to God," added Vanessa.
"We're thankful for a day of partnership and prayer."
