The Revd Robert Desics, Vicar of South Thornaby, has resigned to be Chaplain to His Majesty’s Land Forces with effect from Monday, 11 September 2023.
The Revd Timothy Goode, Rector of Lee in the Diocese of Southwark, has been appointed as Canon Pastor of York Minster, to be known as Canon for Congregational Discipleship and Nurture.
The Revd Peter King, Assistant Curate of Kirkleatham, has been appointed as Assistant Curate of the Benefice of Coatham and Dormanstown for the remainder of his training curacy.
The Revd David Messer, Priest in Charge of Sigglesthorne with Nunkeeling and Bewholme, and Skirlaugh, Catwick, Long Riston, Rise and Swine with Ellerby, has additionally been appointed by the Bishop of Hull as Area Dean of North Holderness for a period of five years. Mr Messer succeeds the Revd Shirley Hebden who has held the post since 14 April 2021.
The Revd Andrew Moreland, Vicar of Seamer, East Ayton and Cayton, has been appointed as Vicar of South Cave and Ellerker with Broomfleet. He will be instituted by the Bishop of Hull at 7.30pm on Thursday, 23 November 2023 in All Saints, South Cave.
