Saturday of our Come and See Mission (12-15 March) dawned grey and damp, but a few intrepid dogs (and their humans) met outside Beverley Minster at nine in the morning for a lovely stroll ahead of the rest of the day’s festivities. Lorna Heatley couldn’t resist joining them…

Saffron, Jonah, and Maisie enjoyed a walk up through the pretty streets of Beverley. It was a great way of getting to explore the town, as well as getting to know some people that don’t tend to go to the services at Beverley Minster.

Vicar the Revd Canon Jonathan Baker said that they’ve been wanting to launch a dog walking group for a while, and the Come and See Mission, with its stress on community, was the perfect time to do it.

Meanwhile, a children’s service based around the film ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’ was taking place within the Minster, with children making river banks, wavy grass, and forests in which to hunt for their bears, ahead of settling down to watch the film.
