The Lifelong Learning Administrator will contact you in advance of your 70th birthday or the expiry date of your current PTO to start the application process.  PTO is dependent on maintaining up-to-date safeguarding training (both the Leadership course and the online Raising Awareness of Domestic Abuse course) and DBS clearance.  

You will also be asked to complete a new Ministry Agreement with your incumbent (or, usually, the Area Dean if your benefice is in vacancy) each time your PTO is renewed.
