The Journal

Fortnightly | For ministers and parish officers

The Journal brings together diocesan news, important announcements, guidance, and resources to support ministry and parish life.

It is sent directly to clergy, Licensed Lay Ministers (Readers), churchwardens, and PCC secretaries. Anyone else who would like to receive it is welcome to subscribe.

The Briefing

Fortnightly | Open to everyone

The Briefing shares upcoming events, training opportunities, and useful resources from across the Diocese of York and beyond.

It’s a great way to discover what’s happening, find opportunities to get involved, and share information with your church or community.

Safeguarding Bulletin

Monthly | For Parish Safeguarding Officers and others involved in safeguarding

Updates on safeguarding guidance, training, and resources to help churches provide safe and welcoming environments for everyone.

We welcome submissions from churches, deaneries, and organisations across the diocese.

For events and resources, use our online submission form to send us the details for possible inclusion in The Briefing.

Please include the date, time, location, booking information, and a short description of your event or resource.

We can’t guarantee that every submission will be included. Inclusion in The Briefing does not mean an event or resource is endorsed by the Diocese of York.

For news and stories, we’d love to hear what’s happening in your church or community. You don’t need to write a finished article – we can help you tell your story.
