Baptisms, Christenings & Thanksgivings

Starting a journey with God, family and friends

We love baptisms and Christenings in church.

Whether you’re nine minutes, nine months or ninety-nine years old (or more), God welcomes you through baptism into the family of Jesus Christ.

It can happen at any age – some people’s grownups decide for them, and other people decide for themselves once they’re old enough.

Once you’re baptised you can move towards the next steps of receiving Holy Communion and being Confirmed; talk to us about this and about how we prepare people.

Some people prefer to arrange a Thanksgiving for the birth or the life of their child, so that the child can make their own decision on baptism later in life.

If you have a connection with a church or if you live in the parish you can get in touch, or come along to any service, and you’ll get all the information you need.
