Vocations and leadership

The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell will ordain five people as deacons within the Church of England in York Minster on Saturday 27th June 2026 in a service beginning at 11.00am.

As the Church marks the Spring Ember Days on 25th, 27th, and 28th February, parishes across the Diocese of York are invited to pray intentionally for vocations and to notice whom God may be stirring among them.

This month, we celebrate the ordination of The Revd Barbara Bancroft as priest and Rosie Coles as deacon.
