Contactless giving, the reality of community use of your church building, and what to expect from the Diocese of York's 'Revitalise' programme; just some of what's on offer to churchwardens (and everyone else) from this year's Archdeacons' Visitation News

Contactless giving, the reality of community use of your church building, and what to expect from the Diocese of York’s ‘Revitalise’ programme; just some of what’s on offer to churchwardens (and everyone else) from this year’s Archdeacons’ Visitation News (which you can download from the foot of this page).

Archdeacons’ Visitation News* is compiled and published for the Diocese of York by Ecclesiastical Insurance; half its content comes from and is about aspects of life in this diocese, while the rest is of potential interest to churchwardens and PCCs everywhere. In 2024 this includes items on fundraising, attracting grants, and how to implement green measures and practices in managing an historic and well-used building.

*The ‘Archdeacon’s Visitation’ is traditionally the annual service in the spring
at which churchwardens are sworn into office.
