Paul Bramley
Interim Diocesan Director of Education (DDE)
Paul Bramley is the Interim Diocesan Director of Education and is responsible for managing the work of the Education Department and the lead officer in the development of the Board of Education strategy and policies for working with children and young people in schools, colleges and universities. He works closely with the Department for Education and local authority colleagues on school organisational matters and offers advice and support to schools on academy and collaboration frameworks. He also represents the Board in appropriate contexts at local and national level.
Yvonne has primary responsibility for church school improvement and supports the DBE in securing the effectiveness of its schools and academies. She monitors and reports on a range of performance data and liaises with Local Authorities, Multi Academy Trusts, the DfE and Ofsted, attending feedback meetings and monitoring visits as appropriate. She also supports schools in the development, monitoring and evaluation of their Christian vision, Religious Education and collective worship and their preparation for SIAMS. She delivers support to schools through our Service Level Agreement and is the link adviser for a number of schools.
Olivia has particular responsibility for church school, Christian distinctiveness, including SIAMS Manager, RE and Collective Worship. She supports schools in strengthening their Christian distinctiveness and on Religious Education and collective worship by producing resources, putting on training events, sharing good practice and developing networks. Olivia co-ordinates the delivery of support for schools through our Service Level Agreement and is the link adviser for many schools. Part of her role is to help schools prepare for SIAMS and to work with them in putting together and implementing their post-inspection action plan. She is also responsible for managing the SIAMS programme and the training and support of SIAMS inspectors. Olivia also offers support and training to clergy and others who work with schools.
Simon advises on school development, property and trust matters and is responsible for the financial management of capital projects in voluntary aided schools. His other responsibilities include liaising with local authorities and consultants, and he also handles the Total Property Management scheme in conjunction with DBE Services Ltd. Simon is also involved with the project management of academy conversions.
Celia supports schools in the development, monitoring and evaluation of their Christian distinctiveness, Religious Education and collective worship in their preparation for SIAMS. She delivers support to schools through our Service Level Agreement and is the link adviser for a number of schools.
Katherine supports schools in the development, monitoring and evaluation of their Christian distinctiveness, Religious Education and collective worship in their preparation for SIAMS. Sue supports schools in the development, monitoring and evaluation of their Christian distinctiveness, Religious Education and collective worship in their preparation for SIAMS. She delivers support to schools through our Service Level Agreement and is the link adviser for a number of schools.
Angela is the adviser for all work with children and young people in churches and parishes. She oversees the strategic vision for children and youth work and commissions consultants to help support churches and deaneries. Angela works closely with other members of the Education Team in supporting churches, schools and houesholds to work together effectively.

Anita is the first point of contact for the Education Department and, if she cannot deal with queries herself, directs them to the member of the Team who can. She handles communication with schools, bookings for conferences and training events and the appointment of foundation governors.
