Movements of clergy and others, into, out of and between posts in the Diocese of York
The Revd Lucy Brencher, Assistant Curate of Copmanthorpe; Bolton Percy with Colton; Askham Bryan, and Priest in Charge of Appleton Roebuck with Acaster Selby; Acaster Malbis, has been appointed as Priest-in-Charge of Alne and the of Skelton with Shipton and Newton-on-Ouse. She will be Licensed by the Archdeacon of York in The Church of the Holy Evangelist, Shipton by Beningbrough on Tuesday 24th September 2024 at 7.30pm.
The Revd David Hobman, Distinctive Deacon of York All Saints, Pavement with St Crux and St Michael Spurriergate; York St Olave with St Giles; York St Helen Stonegate with St Martin Coney Street; York St Denys, retired on the 24th July 2024.
The Revd Linda Munt, Rector of the Garrowby Hill Benefice, will retire on the 1st October 2024. Her final service will be on 22nd September 2024.
The Revd Barry Worsdale, Priest in Charge of North Cave with Cliffe and of Hotham, has been re-appointed for a fixed term of two years. he will be Licensed by the Bishop of Hull in Hullen House on Tuesday 3 September 2024.
The Revd Claire Soderman, Assistant Curate of Northallerton with Kirby Sigston, has been appointed as Vicar of the Benefice of Seamer, East Ayton and Cayton. She will be Collated by the Bishop of Hull in St Martin, Seamer on Monday, 7 October 2024 at 7:30pm.
The Revd Christine Strand, Associate Minister of Bridlington Priory, has been appointed as Assistant Curate of the Benefice of Bridlington Christ Church with Bessingby and Ulrome with particular responsibility for St Mark, West Hill, Bessingby and St Magnus, Bessingby. She will be known locally as Associate Vicar, and will be Licensed by the Bishop of Hull at the Parish Church of St Mark in West Hill, Bessingby on Sunday 29th September at 2:00pm.
The Revd Margaret Young, Vicar of Easingwold with Raskelf, will resign from the 31st October 2024.
