Property team arrangements 24th Dec – 5th Jan
The Property Team will continue to be on call to help you with problems. During this period, we will only be able to take serious emergency repair requests. These are limited to repairs which present a danger to life, risk of serious injury or a serious security risk or serious risk to property. Leave a message if necessary, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Some examples include:
- Total loss of electrical power or water supply
- Blocked flue to open fire or boiler
- Uncontainable water leak from a water or heating pipe, tank or cistern. (The emergency response may consist of turning off the water supply only)
- Insecure external ground floor window, door or lock
- Partial loss of electrical power or water supply
- Toilet not flushing (where there is no other toilet in the house)
For urgent problems with heating and boilers, contact Robinsons Facilities Services Ltd: Callout/office number 01423 226578. Please quote DOY and your postcode when calling.
For any other true emergency maintenance issues, please call 01904 699526. This is Sally’s direct dial which is being redirected to a staff member over this period.
Please wait until the office reopens on Monday 5th January to report less urgent repairs as these will not be logged until then.

Who do I speak to?
Alex is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Construction Manager. He is responsible for strategic planning and for overseeing the management of the housing portfolio and the Glebe estate.
Sally is the first point of contact for all occupants to report any repairs. Sally is also pleased to help with enquiries about clergy housing, inspection, repairs and maintenance. This includes all Parsonages, PCC owned property currently used to house Stipendiary Clergy and diocesan owned Assistant Ministers’ Houses
David has day-to-day responsibility for all our programmes of work, particularly while clergy posts are in vacancy, and in support of the five-yearly (quinquennial) inspections and our overall asset management.
Charles is working on the creation of our Diocesan Property Plan, working closely with the Archdeacons and the relevant strategy working group to ensure that it supports the overall housing requirements for clergy deployment, within the context of the diocesan investment strategy and budget requirements and the NZC.
Hugo is the Senior Glebe, Property and Trust Officer, and is able to advise PCCs about trustee matters, especially where the DBF acts as custodian trustees, charitable and building related trusts and title deeds.
Alison supports the Property team with office based administrative tasks including invoice payments, council tax and trees – she will know which member of the team is best placed to answer any queries.
