The pressures of ordained ministry are substantial and impact not only people in ministry themselves, but also their families. This, along with many other factors particular to individual circumstance, can sadly lead to relational breakdown.
Archbishop’s Visitors exist to provide confidential emotional and practical support, including signposting, in the event of such personal and familial challenge. Alongside this support, there is also the possibility of accessing appropriate therapeutic help for all involved, adults and children.
The document below outlines in more detail the role of the Visitors, and how they can help. Their support can be sought through a conversation with your Bishop or Archdeacon, or by emailing the Diocesan Adviser in Pastoral Care. All enquiries will be handled confidentially.
