General Teaching Assistant, Carlton & Faceby CE (VA) School

Salary: £12 – £12.38 per hour

Grade: GTA – CD

Contract type: Established

Working pattern:  Term time only, plus 5 PD days

Working hours: 7 hours per week

 Location: The Carlton & Faceby and Bilsdale CE Federation – initially based at Carlton & Faceby CE (VA) Primary School near Stokesley.  Executive Headteacher – Mr Matthew Scott

The Carlton & Faceby and Bilsdale CE Federation is looking to appoint a highly skilled, motivated and child-centred professional to join our dedicated, hardworking team. This vacancy will likely initially be based in our KS2 classroom and involve working all day on a Monday – days may be subject to change and there may be some negotiation for the right candidate. Previous experience of working in Key Stage 2 would be advantageous, however there could be negotiation over year groups for the right candidate.

Part of this role will also involve some mid-day supervision. There is the possibility of further hours on a supply basis as part of this role, as well as the potential for hours covering our wraparound care.

• Have a good understanding of how children learn and develop
• Are able to support class teachers in meeting the needs of all children
• Are able to deliver programmes of work for focus groups of pupils under the direction of class teacher
• Have an excellent understanding of safeguarding good practice
