The Revd Canon Sue Binks, Vicar of the benefice of Kirkdale with Harome, Nunnington and Pockley, will retire on the 12th October 2025. The date of her final service will be 12th October in the parish church of St. Gregory’s Minster, Kirkdale.
The Revd Joel Bird, previously Assistant Curate of the Benefice of the Waltham Group in the Diocese of Lincoln, has been appointed as Vicar of the Headland Benefice. The collation by the Bishop of Hull will be held in the parish church of St John the Evangelist, Sewerby on Monday 15th September 2025 at 7:30pm.
The Revd Tina Burgess, Vicar of the benefice of St Martin of Tours with St Cuthbert, Middlesbrough, will retire on the 21st September 2025. The date of her final service will be Sunday 31st August 2025 in the parish church of St Martin’s Church, Middlesbrough at 10.30am.
The Revd Sarah Jane Cliff, Vicar of the Benefice of Sandylands in the Diocese of Blackburn, has been appointed Vicar of the Benefice of Great Ayton with Easby, and Newton under Roseberry in the Diocese of York. The collation by the Bishop of Whitby will be held in the parish church of Christ Church, Great Ayton on Tuesday 7th October 2025 at 7:00pm.
The Venerable Jonathan Gough, who holds PTO in the Diocese of York, has been appointed as Interim Pastoral & Theological Advisor to the Archbishop of York for one year. He was licensed by the Archbishop of York, on Tuesday 8th July 2025 at Bishopthorpe Palace.
The Revd Jonny Guy, Assistant Curate of the Benefice of Drypool, has been appointed as Team Vicar of the Benefice of Drypool. The licensing by the Bishop of Hull will be held in the parish church of St John, Drypool on Tuesday 2 September, 2025 at 7.30pm.
The Revd Canon Glyn Holland, Vicar of the benefice of Middlesborough, All Saints, will retire on the 31st October 2025. The date of his final service will be 28th September in the parish church of All Saints, Middlesbrough.
The Revd Canon Tanya Marie Lord, Lead Chaplain of Lincolnshire Police in the Diocese of Lincoln, has been appointed as Vicar of the Benefice of Kingston upon Hull, St Nicholas. The collation by the Rt Revd Steve Benford was held in the parish church of St Nicholas, Hull on Wednesday 16th July 2025 at 7.30pm.
The Revd Richard Parkinson, Rector of the Benefice of Cherry Burton, Priest-in-Charge of the Benefice of Etton with Dalton Holme and Chaplain to Bishop Burton College, has been appointed as Rector of the Benefice of Cherry Burton and Priest-in-Charge of the Benefice of Etton with Dalton Holme. The institution by the Archdeacon of the East Riding will be held in a private ceremony at Brimley Lodge on Thursday 31st July 2025 at 1:30pm.
