The week will encourage church members and leaders in sharing the understanding and behaviour that keep our Diocese and Cathedral safe for all.
A variety of online events is available each day to help parishes and church communities deepen their understanding and awareness of safeguarding and how to embed it in their culture, and also how to identify what signs they should be looking out for, and where to turn to if they have concerns about children, young people or adults.
Formats will include interactive virtual training events; recordings of some will remain on our website afterwards as part of a growing library of valuable resources at www.dioceseofyork.org.uk/safeguarding.
Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser Rob Marshall says, “Please join us during this important week so that we can build up our shared strength in numbers – we really are in this together – and share our growing understanding and behaviours that help to keep our Diocese and Cathedral safe for all.”
