Wistow Parochial Church of England Primary School and its governing body are seeking to appoint an Admin & Finance Officer, to work alongside the schools Headteacher and Business Manager, in the busy School Office.
We are a small, rural village primary school, just outside Selby, and currently have 119 children on roll. We are a faith school, who promote our school’s core values of:
Respect, Resilience, Honesty and Forgiveness
At Wistow, we all work together as a team to support, encourage each other and make sure that everyone achieves their full potential and that we can all ’Be the best that we can be!’ We have just had our Ofsted Inspection during November 2024 and our Church Inspection during December 2024. Here are some of the highlights of both reports: –
The governing body ensures the well-being of the school leaders and the staff. Staff are appreciative of actions taken to support workload. They are very happy to be part of this school
Staff are determined that all pupils will achieve well
Pupils in this school are polite, well behaved and positive ambassadors for their school.
(Ofsted Nov 2024)
Everyone who enters this school is greeted by a loving culture that stems from a deeply held Christian vision
The vision of being a small school with a big heart creates a culture centred on Christian love. Transformative pastoral and practical care is prioritised in this school community
Emphasising an aspiration to ‘Be the best you can be’ inspires action. Pupils and adults express how the vision helps them to make positive choices about how they live and can make a difference in the world
Leaders care deeply about staff, pupils and their families. Good mental health and wellbeing are fundamentally important to all and a key to the school’s success.
