General Teaching Assistant: Carlton and Faceby CE Primary School

Salary: £24,027- £25,183 pro rata per annum

Contract: Permanent (Term Time Only)

Hours: 36.5 hours per week

The Carlton & Faceby and Bilsdale CE Federation is looking to appoint a highly skilled, motivated and child-centred professional to join our dedicated, hardworking team. This vacancy will involve working across our small school, initially it will be partly supporting pupils who require 1-1 support in EYFS and KS1, as well as classroom support in our KS2 class. Previous experience of working in Key Stage 2 and/or supporting children on a 1-1 basis would be advantageous.

Part of this role will involve some mid-day supervision and staffing some of our wraparound provision until 5.30pm.

We are looking for candidates who:

· Have a good understanding of how children learn and develop

· Are able to support class teachers in meeting the needs of all children

· Are able to deliver programmes of work for focus groups of pupils under the direction of class teacher

· Have an excellent understanding of safeguarding good practice

· Are professional and act with integrity

· Can show initiative and work well as part of a team

We are a Voluntary Aided school and achieved a very positive inspection report from SIAMS earlier this year – successful candidate would need to be committed to upholding our Christian ethos.
