We recognise that some change is necessary in how we organise ministry, structure our two benefices and find the money to fund it all. We are seeking a Minister who will lead us in this process and enjoy ministering in this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Wolds.

We are seeking a Minister who will. . .

  • Be a visible presence in our villages, relating well to all ages
  • Help us to discern our future shape and direction
  • Lead wisely and strategically where change is required
  • Deepen our discipleship and release our gifts and talents
  • Enable us to wrestle with the financial challenges before us
  • Collaborate openly and warmly with all

We know that ministry belongs to the whole people of God, and we are committed to sharing with you in this next chapter of our life with God. We have an active Ministry Team, a part time administrator and many committed people. God has blessed us in many ways and we long to see our resources released and used effectively.

As part of the diocesan vision of ‘Living Christ’s Story’ there is an imaginative vision for supporting and, where necessary, re-shaping the lives of our churches. The diocese has designated us as ‘revitalise benefices’ and will be providing extra resources and support to help this process. As a church family we are committed to this vision and are praying for a new Minister to lead us forward into the plans we know God has for us.
