Team Vicar for the Drypool Team – Hull

Our parish is very varied, with deprivation and relative comfort side by side but friendliness and warmth everywhere.

Our new Team Vicar will be responsible for leading St John’s and Victoria Dock Church. They offer great variety, in very different settings, but both are committed to our vision “to strengthen each other by sharing resources, ideas and encouragement, so that we can reach all parts of our parish with the gospel”.  

Our community and churches need someone who will love them and be committed to them. We are an evangelical parish who seek to ensure our faith and life is rooted in both scripture and applying this day to day in our context.

We are seeking a Minister who will be:

• An evangelical who values biblical preaching
• A prayerful man or woman of God who keeps in step with the Spirit
• Gracious and large-hearted, loving everyone they encounter
• Collaborative and value being in a Team
• An energetic leader who is passionate about helping people of all ages to follow Jesus

Our Team Rector delegates well. He will give you space to be the leader your two churches need, whilst being a supportive and prayerful colleague. We believe that God is calling someone to join us who will make a real difference to our parish. We can’t promise it will all be easy but we’ll pray for you, serve alongside you, support you when its tough and rejoice at what we see God do through you.
