Join Our Team as a One-to-One Teaching Assistant!

Leven CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a skilled 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant to be part of our incredibly supportive and hardworking team initially supporting a pupil in EYFS.

The post is to provide, under supervision, assistance to a child, with additional learning needs. This would entail assisting with work mainly in the classroom and liaising with outside agencies e.g. Speech and Language. The work may also involve preparation, with guidance, of materials for use by the child and include an element of record keeping. The post is for 22.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8:45am – 1:15pm, term time only.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is flexible, organised and a team player
• Is an effective communicator
• Is able to develop positive relationships with children and parents
• Has an understanding of ASD and related support strategies
• Has an understanding of SEND practices including EHC plans
• Has high expectations and understanding of pupils’ learning and behaviour

This is a child specific post and so will be fixed term until the child reaches the end of Year 6 or should leave the school.
