Our benefice of four rural churches is situated in a glorious part of the East Riding of Yorkshire just a few miles north of the very attractive Georgian town of Beverley.
As our local school says it is ‘A great place to be – come and join us!’
We understand rural life and don’t expect our Vicar to do everything – we have active church members who look forward to sharing in ministry with you!

Main Responsibilities
- To develop a vision and plan for the churches which enables them to flourish and serve their communities
- To lead the churches in mission and evangelism, as they reach out in action, prayer and love
- To engage in the community life of the parishes, being a visible presence in each
- To deepen and extend the shared life and ministry of the benefice
- To engage with the two schools in the parishes, encouraging and valuing ministry with children and young people
- To support the parish of Leconfield as it explores the future shape of ministry there, welcoming warmly the deanery initiative to create a New Worshipping Community
- To play and full and active role in the deanery and engage positively in the collaborative relationships among the rural parishes

We are looking for a Minster who will
- Be an encouraging, prayerful and visible pastoral presence within our caring and active village communities
- Bring a genuine desire to communicate and connect joyfully with people of all ages
- Continue to nurture and enhance our good relationships with our local schools
- Recognise and use the skills of the laity across our benefice
- Lead us to joyfully proclaim the gospel in our communities
