Rector (0.5) Garrowby Hill Benefice

REVISED ADVERT

Come and join God’s people living and working in the Garrowby Hill benefice. We’ve made a video to introduce ourselves and show you our wonderful setting, situated on the edge of the Vale of York.

We are committed, supportive and active in trying to live out “Christ’s Story” and we want someone who will help us to grow further and develop deeper our faith and ministry in the places we live.

Vicar of Eastfield – Scarborough

Eastfield is a large estate with lots of new housing being built. It is a place with a strong sense of community amidst various social and economic challenges. Our Church seeks to be at the heart of this community and works very closely with Westway Open Arms, a Christian Social Action Centre that is a key part of our mission. Alongside the existing estate, an extensive new housing area is being built and reaching them is a priority for us too.

Closing Date: 09 November 2025

Vicar (0.5) Rural Ainsty

We are a flock whose homes are scattered across several hamlets and villages, but we are very much united in worship, ministry and mission. We seek a shepherd for this flock who will enable us to grow: someone who will nurture, enthuse and encourage us as we journey together. We have a lot to offer and invite you to take a closer look. We are excited to discover God’s plans for His Kingdom amongst our communities and we hope you will find God’s calling here.

Closing Date: 20 November 2025

Is God calling you to be the new Priest in Charge of St John the Evangelist in South Bank, serving a community on the north east of Middlesbrough?

St John the Evangelist Church is a church ‘in the community and for the community’. Known for the strength and warmth of its welcome, it has been described as ‘a gem of a parish in a deprived community’. We enjoy a strong sense of togetherness; everyone joins in to support the church and those whom we serve. After many years of decline, our community is undergoing a period of change with new homes being built and hope rekindled. We are looking for a priest who can help us renew our energy and focus and discern how the Spirit is leading us into the future, telling of the transforming love of Christ for all.

Closing Date: 26 March 2026

Is God calling you to be the new House for Duty Rector for the Benefice of Easington with Liverton?

Easington, Liverton and Liverton Mines are communities which will respond to knowing loving and caring leadership with grace and support.  The benefice is made up of three villages and two churches within two parishes: All Saints Church, in Easington and St Michael’s Church in Liverton. We are based in a beautiful and historic area close to the coast and moors; parts of the North York Moors find their home in our parishes. We are also closely linked with the proud industrial heritage of Teesside made famous by explorer James Cook as well as more recent potash and polyhalite mining.

Please note, the post is currently vacant so we would welcome expressions of interest at any time and would consider an earlier interview and appointment date if appropriate.
